If West Hollywood’s Fig & Olive is any indication, olive oil just may be the new black. Chic foodies from all over the City of Angels are flocking to this stylish restaurant, at which all dishes are prepared using olive oil. (Not a trace of butter, cream or stock to be found!) I tracked down chef Pascal Lorange to snag the recipe for the restaurant’s only vegan dish—Provencal Carrot & Thyme Soup.

Enter LudoBites 6.0, the red-hot pop-up now in its sixth incarnation. The roving eatery is headed by French culinary sensation Ludo Lefebvre, formerly of Bastide and, of course, “Top Chef: Masters.” Starting October 21st, LudoBites will be housed at Sherman Oaks’ Max, where Lefebvre will be serving up globally-inspired specialties with a side of imagination.
